R&B singer Summer Walker has become infamous for canceling important commitments to her fans because of her severe social anxiety. Now, it appears the 23-year-old Atlanta native might be ready to cancel her entire music career.

On Monday (February 11), Walker took to her Instagram to vent her frustrations, letting fans know her days as a musician are numbered.

“lol I’m deadass never making another song after 2020,” she wrote on one of her Instagram Stories.

In an interview with Apple Music Beats 1 in October, the singer discussed her struggle with social anxiety. Ari Lennox conducted the interview, in which Walker revealed the title of her debut album, Over It, was a reflection of her feelings towards the music industry and fame in general.

Walker’s First and Last tour suffered as a result of her ongoing battle with mental health. After cancelling all fan meet & greets, Walker announced in November she would be cutting almost half of her remaining concert dates, explaining to fans the demands of a full scale tour couldn’t “coexist” with her introverted personality.

Despite Walker’s ominous promise, fans can look forward to hearing music from her before the year is up.

The Soul Train Music Award winner is scheduled to perform at Coachella 2020 along with other female Hip Hop stars such as Megan Thee Stallion and the recently reunited City Girls. Walker also has a song titled “I’m Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby” on Birds of Prey:The Album.
