Nick Cannon took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 29) to clear up the rumor he was canceling the Dr. Sebi documentary due to fear of being assassinated.

Erroneous reports claimed Cannon halted production of the Dr. Sebi movie after receiving deaths threats and was in “fear of ending up like Nipsey Hussle.” The Wild ‘N Out host immediately refuted the claims, posting his rebuttal to Instagram.

Cannon captioned the post, “Oh ‘They’ wish this was the truth!! Who made this dumb shit?! LOL #Fearless.”

In an Instagram post he shared last month, Cannon vowed to continue the documentary after the March 31 death of Hussle.

“Where you left off, we gonna carry one!” he wrote on April 1, one day after the murder. “It’s a MARATHON, so I’m picking up the baton! Because they can’t kill us all.”

On the official Instagram page for Dr. Sebi, there’s a picture of Cannon posing with the doctor’s family shortly after they held a meeting.

“Just wrapped up an amazing meeting with some amazing minds,” the caption read. “Working to create the best experience for all of you awaiting this documentary.”

Cannon’s social media is full of clips from the venerated doctor, many of them including the hashtag, #Fearless.
