Young Thug’s performance at Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival was capped off with flyers teasing a collaboration with J. Cole and Travis Scott, titled “The London,” which dropped on Thursday (May 23).
Inspired by posh London West Hollywood hotel and produced by T-Minus, it’s a bass-heavy cut with strong moments from each rap superstar.
Scott provides a tender chorus, while Cole pulls it some hilarious boasts. (“Ayy, fuck your IG, I put somethin’ on your sonogram”)
For his verse, Thug brings in his trademark eccentricity, pitch-shifting his vocals as he says things like “I’ma run the compound. I supply the cigarettes and bread.”

While Thug and Scott have been frequent collaborators (see “Mamacita” and “Pick Up the Phone” for a couple of examples), “The London” marks the first time he and Cole have officially released a track.
Their relationship has blossomed over the past year, with Thug serving as support on Cole’s nationwide KOD Tour, which led to the Dreamville CEO returning the favor by stepping in as executive producer for his upcoming album.
Cole has described Thug as being both “genius” and “innovator.”
