Summer festival season is quickly approaching, and Toronto’s Beyond Oz Productions has released their star-studded lineup of mini-festivals for the Tri-City.
Fans of 1990s Hip Pop will love the ’90s Throwback Fest, featuring MC Hammer, “Thong Song” auteur Sisqó, and Hip Hop’s clown prince Biz Markie. The Throwback Fest will take place on August 24th, and tickets are on sale now.
But if you should happen to be in the 416 earlier in the summer, On The Grand’s got you covered with Reggae Fest (July 27th), which had an impressive dancehall lineup last year that included Sean Paul and Elephant Man. And for the younger, EDM-friendly crowd, June 6th’s Ever After Music Festival Pre-Party features the ravey stylings of Yellow Claw and ZiA.
“We want to put the Tri-City area on the map for executing some of the biggest events in the province. Ever After Music Festival is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the impact we want to make on the entertainment scene here,” Gabriel Mattacchione, President of Beyond Oz Productions Inc. said in a statement.

“On The Grand is our way keeping up with that momentum throughout the year. By hosting different events and welcoming world-class performers to Kitchener-Waterloo, we hope to attract people from all over and acquaint them with all the incredible things Kitchener-Waterloo and Beyond Oz Productions has to offer,” he concluded.
