New York, NY

Nas’ Mass Appeal Records has welcomed a new addition to its roster. The label has signed New Jersey-bred rapper atm and will release his self-titled EP later this month.

During a recent interview with HipHopDX, atm’s labelmate Stro spoke about the artist-first approach of Mass Appeal.

“I think Mass Appeal gets it,” he said. “They get it and from the jump, you could see that. I was always coming around Mass Appeal for other events before I was signed and you could just feel off the energy. I just think how comfortable we are as artists should speak how smooth or just the level or way Mass Appeal works.”

In a press statement, atm echoed Stro’s sentiments.

“Mass Appeal is really hands on, that’s what appealed to me,” atm said. “Other labels had a bunch of people signing at once and me. As an artist, I felt I would get more attention at Mass Appeal. It felt more personal. I used to watch all their videos on YouTube and I’ve always been a fan of the brand.”

The up-and-coming artist’s debut project, atm, is scheduled to drop on April 26. The EP will feature his breakthrough single “rush,” which has racked up 1.3 million streams on Spotify.
