Run The Jewels fans have been waiting on Run The Jewels 4 for years.
On Friday morning (November 29), El Producto provided an update on the album via Twitter. He revealed the project is 11 tracks long and less than 40 minutes long. In the process, he insinuated the album is extremely close to being finalized.
“I can say at this point RTJ4 is about 11 jams, it’s under 40 minutes and not a second is wasted,” he wrote. “hopefully that helps tide the curious over for a minute while we finish up. big thanks to everyone waiting.”
The third installment of Killer Mike and El-P’s collaborative effort, the aptly titled Run The Jewels 3, arrived in 2016. The RTJ fanbase has been clamoring for another one ever since.

Last December, RTJ teased a release date, but it was never confirmed. It is, however, expected to arrive before the end of the year. We’ll just have to wait and see.

El-P’s wife Emily Panic has provided an update on Run The Jewels’ forthcoming Run The Jewels 4 album. On Monday (March 25), Panic sent out a tweet explaining she’d just heard the project and insisted it was comparable to Lil Wayne’s 2010 album, Rebirth.
“Guys, last night @therealelp played me the new #RTJ4 tracks they’ve been working on,” she wrote. “and all I can say is I hope you loved that Lil Wayne rock album (Rebirth) because it sounds a lot like that.”

She added three flame emojis to drive home her point. But considering Panic is a professional comedian and Rebirth wasn’t exactly one of Weezy’s most well received projects, fans can anticipate an expert troll job.
Rebirth served as Wayne’s seventh studio album and relied heavily on a rap-rock aesthetic. The project received a measly 1.5 out of 5 at HipHopDX, while Metacritic’s user score average 3.2 based on “generally unfavorable reviews.”
El-P and Killer Mike have been dangling their fourth studio album in front of their fans for some time. Last December, the motley duo teased a release date although it has yet to be confirmed. All he said was it would be out sometime in 2019.
RTJ4 will serve as the follow-up to 2016’s RTJ3.
