Los Angeles, CA

Cali-native, Katori Walker finally delivers his new video for “Run.”

The video opens on Walker speaking and posing questions to an attentive crowd. “Everybody mad at Trump, yeah I know my nigga / Saying he a racist prick, but did you vote my nigga? / Hell no my nigga / But we stand in line for J’s / And when that new iPhone come out / We campin’ out for days / What the fuck are we doing?”

The video quickly escalates when two officers arrive on the scene, pushing their way through the crowd to reach Walker. Once in cuffs, Walker is aggressively slammed against the policeman’s hood until eventually breaking free, giving way to the song’s theme.

The video ends with a powerful quote from Walker, “The consequences feel different, when your skin tone isn’t.”
