Ice Cube is set to launch a new reality series for A&E according
to PR Inside. The series is aimed at inspiring criminals to turn their
lives around. It’s tentatively titled “Good in the Hood,”
and will be hosted and produced by the former N.W.A. member.

The show will feature a reformed gang member, drug dealer and/or
robber who agrees to take on the responsibility of helping people in
similar circumstances change their lives.

“One of the most powerful elements in the show is the personal
connection of the two subjects,”
said Rob Sharenow, network senior vice
president. Sharenow feels that people who are still under the influence
of drugs or violence are more likely to respond to someone who has been
in the same situation. According to Sharenow, the connection between
the two subjects is possibly one of the shows most powerful elements.

Ice Cube plans to be very involved in the show, according to
sources. He also came from difficult beginnings; growing up in the
rough South Central area of L.A. but transformed his life.
