Buddy’s Harlan & Alondra was named HipHopDX’s Most Slept-on Album of 2018, but it might be hard for music fans to sleep on him for much longer. NPR brought the West Coast rhymer out to Washington, D.C. for the latest edition of its popular Tiny Desk Concert series.
For this special showcase, Buddy gave new life to some standout cuts from his debut album. The Compton native crafted a set comprised of four songs — “Legend,” “Trouble On Central,” “Hey Up There” and “Real Life Shit” — to deliver an impressive performance that lasted just under 12 minutes.
