New York-based producer Blockhead and wordplay wizard Aesop Rock have reunited for the new track “Kiss The Cook.” The single serves as the first taste of Blockhead’s upcoming Free Sweatpants album.

Much like the magic they created on Aesop’s 2007 album None Shall Pass, “Kiss The Cook” effortlessly melds their talents together, resulting in an intricately woven piece of audible art.

“It had been a while since Aes and I worked on an original song, but once we started, the pieces just fell into place,” Blockhead explains to HipHopDX.  “Mixing it was interesting because originally the production had a harsher edge, but I moved to something more melodic and upbeat.”

In addition to Aes, Free Sweatpants also features Open Mike Eagle, Armand Hammer (ELUCID and billy woods), Homeboy Sandman, Breezly Brewin, TREE, Vic Spencer, Hemlock Ernst, and MarQ Spekt, among others.
