Skyzoo fans in the Baltimore area made their way to the Charm Nightclub on December 11 to catch his In Celebration Of Us Tour featuring Landon Wordswell. After the show, the Brooklyn-bred MC took to Instagram to share a special encounter that occurred at the event.
Dr. Robert Goldfarb, a Baltimore surgeon, had the chance to meet Skyzoo before the show and revealed the unlikely motivation he gleans from the veteran lyricist’s music.
“He explained to me how much of a huge fan he is and how when operating on people, his rule in the O.R. is that he has to have my music playing in the background for him to successfully operate,” Sky wrote.
According to Sky, Goldfarb told him, “When I’m saving people who may need life-saving surgeries, whatever the case may be, I gotta hear Skyzoo.”

“Needless to say I was and still am humbled by it,” Sky admits.
It was a powerful moment for Sky, who spoke about the contrast of his positive Baltimore experience with that of his stop in New Hampshire. Up north, one of his gigs was threatened by a police shutdown if he hit the stage.
”[I’m] on a tour that saw a city say I couldn’t perform my music or else the police were coming to stop me, another city has a surgeon who only listens to me to save lives,” he noted. “Real shit.”
The last stop of Sky’s tour is scheduled to take place on December 17 in Snug Harbor in North Carolina.
