Austin, TX

After Paul Wall and his son miraculously survived a dangerous car accident on their way to a performance in Austin, TX, this past Saturday, The People’s Champ reveals that he is experiencing excruciating pain as a result of his injuries.

ABC affiliate KTRK 13 reports that the sprinter van carrying the Houston rapper, his 12-year-old son Will, and four other passengers was hit in a head-on collision while pulling up to the Nutty Brown Amphitheater. By his account, as he explains in a detailed Instagram post with a photo of the horrific accident, the van arrived to the venue when he saw a white truck speeding directly towards them, passing a stop light. Will, who was riding along with Wall for the first time, was buckled up behind him.

“This was my son first time comin(g) with squad,” Wall wrote in the post. “Before we left the house my son and I prayed like we always do. We prayed that God would protect us while we are out, that our travels would be safe, and that our family and home would be protected while we are gone.”

While all passengers in both vehicles survived the terrible crash, Wall is currently recovering from excruciating pain from multiple injuries and says he has trouble moving and talking.

“Right now it’s difficult to walk. It’s actually difficult to move at all. I’m sore all over my body, and my head / neck hurts so much it’s difficult to talk and hold a conversation. But in time I’ll be back to normal,” he wrote on Instagram.

Prayers up to the People’s Champ!
