Proud father DJ Khaled is teaching his son Asahd the value of paying forward at an early age. This past weekend, the Grateful executive producer celebrated his 2nd birthday amongst 250 inner city kids inside Miami Marlins Park.
The birthday bash doubled as the launch for We The Best Foundation Asahd Initiative, which places an emphasis on emphasis community programs, reinforcing family values and promoting youth entrepreneurship. Several community groups — the Boys and Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade and Broward County, Liberty Academy Daycare Center, Connecting Families, Voices 4 Children, and Kensington Park Elementary — were also on hand for the shindig.
MLB great and current Marlins CEO Derek Jeter presented the tenacious tot with a check for $100,000 and Cybex, a stroller company, ponied up $10,000. He was also gifted with a toy car Ferrari with a Ferrari stroller to match.
