Mac Miller’s death shocked many people in the Hip Hop community, even those who never got a chance to work with the late Pittsburgh rapper.
During a Las Vegas show this weekend, Travis Scott paid a tribute to Miller by dropping a freestyle.
“It’s the superstar boy, Malcolm that’s my boy/Mac Miller I love you, always be my boy,” Scott spit. “From that 412, yeah/From that 41210, yeah/It’s that superstar boy, superstar boy/Mac Miller you the one, we love you fucking boy/That’s my muthafuckin’ nigga/Mac muthafuckin’ Miller.”
Following the freestyle, Scott launched into a version of SZA’s “Love Galore.”

Aside from Scott, J. Cole, Chance The Rapper and Kendrick Lamar have all mourned Miller’s passing. His ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande also shared a touching statement on social media.

Miller died of an suspected drug overdose on September 7. The 26-year-old artist had recently released a new album, SWIMMINGand was planning to go on tour this fall.
