Busta Rhymes turned himself into authorities last night and faces assault charges. Police sought Busta Rhymes née Trevor Smith earlier this week following allegations brought by a driver her worked for the rapper.

The driver, Eddie Hatchett, filed a police complaint stating he was attacked by Rhymes at his Lower Manhattan office building on December 26, after Hatchet approached him about money he claims the rapper owed him.

According to the Associate Press, the driver was treated at a hospital after allegedly being punched in the face and kicked by the rapper.

Bussa Bus was in Angola when the charges were imposed. Since returning to New York, Rhymes has turned himself in at a Manhattan police station and has been booked for a misdemeanor assault. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
