Tekashi 6ix9ine isn’t behind bars or running from a court date. The Brooklyn rapper’s hearing, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday (April 10), was postponed due to the results of his GED test not being available.

DJ Akademiks, who previously claimed 6ix9ine didn’t show up for the court date, clarified his earlier remarks after learning the DAY69 artist’s lawyers filed a motion to delay the proceedings.

6ix9ine’s management also prompted speculation about their client being incarcerated by tweeting “Free69” from his Twitter and announcing they took over his Instagram account. The publicity stunt coincided with the release of his new song “GOTTI,” which debuted on streaming outlets on Tuesday.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has dropped a new song titled “GOTTI” after deleting all of the posts on his Instagram account. The track appears on an updated version of his debut album DAY69dubbed DAY69: Graduation Day, which is available now on streaming outlets.

The song arrives amid reports of the controversial rapper skipping out on his scheduled court date on Tuesday (April 10). Everyday Struggle host DJ Akademiks — who has close ties to the “GUMMO” artist — claims 6ix9ine didn’t show up to the hearing. But in February, Akademiks erroneously reported 6ix9ine was arrested at a video shoot when the NYPD revealed the polarizing MC was simply removed from the scene for safety precautions.

6ix9ine’s management added fuel to the fire of speculation by announcing they’d taken over his Instagram account because he will not be back “until further notice.”

“MANAGEMENT: TEKASHI WONT BE BACK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. HE’S DECIDED TO RELEASE THE OFFICIAL AUDIO TO GOTTI TODAY FOR YOU GUYS, LINK IS IN HIS BIO,” the message reads. “WE’LL UPDATE YOU GUYS ON HIS BEHALF FOR THE TIME BEING. GO LISTEN TO GOTTI NOW! LINK IN HIS BIO. HE LOVES YOU GUYS! #69.”

“#FREE69” was also tweeted from his official Twttier account.

The polarizing rapper had been asking fans to pray for him ahead of his court date, noting he was worried the judge would revoke his probation.

With a court appearance scheduled for Tuesday (April 10), Tekashi 6ix9ine is asking the internet to lift him up in prayer.

In a video uploaded to social media on Monday (April 9), 6ix9ine informed fans of his upcoming court appearance and later asked them to put him in their prayers.

The rapper appears somewhat somber in the video, revealing that he’s dotted his I’s and crossed his T’s on the court’s conditions, but is still at the mercy of the judge in the matter.

“Yo, so I got court tomorrow. And I want everybody to put me in their prayers,” 6ix9ine said. “Hopefully, we come out on top. GED is done. Everything is done. But you never know what the judge is gonna say, so I want everybody to say a prayer. Hopefully, I could say what’s up to y’all tomorrow.”

Tuesday’s court appearance stems from pleading guilty to a charge of use of a child in a sexual performance, which dates back to 2015.

Completing his GED was part of the court’s orders as part of 6ix9ine’s probation, but if the judge in his case sees fit he could be looking at time behind bars.
