The Estate of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, which works to preserve the legacy of the late Wu-Tang Clan member, announced it is teaming up with boutique artist and business development firm Link Media Partners to throw its hat into the cryptocurrency ring.

Available exclusively via AltMarket, DirtyCoin will be a way for fans to not only invest in next-gen currency but also directly fund new music projects. Initially, it will be used to fund the debut studio album of ODB’s son, Barsun Jones — better known as Young Dirty.

“Bitcoin is the future of money, and all the fans want a part of the future of Ol’ Dirty Bastard,” Young Dirty noted via press release. “In the past, dad’s music was ahead of its time, so it makes sense that he would be ahead of the technology of money now.”

ODB is the second Wu-Tang member get involved in the world of cryptocurreny. Last October, Ghostface Killah co-founded Cream Capitol, a cryptocurrency company that stands for “Crypto Rules Everything Around Me.”

Fans who invest in ODB’s currency will have access to shows, tours, exclusive merchandise and music from the legendary rapper as well as his son. There is currently no set date for the coin’s official offering, but Young Dirty’s album is tentatively scheduled to drop in the fall and will be supported with a tour featuring the iconic West Coast group Digital Underground.
