Eminem is now the Recording Industry Association of America’s second-highest selling singles artist of all time, thanks to a recent set of digital single certifications issued by the organization.
Eminem — who is closing in on the 20-year anniversary of his 1999 major label debut — has moved 107.5 million certified units (in sales and sales equivalent units from streams), overtaking pop heavyweights Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, who now occupy the third and fourth spots respectively.
Rihanna is the highest-selling artist in RIAA history, with a total of 121 million certified units sold to date.
The RIAA issued Eminem with over 40 new digital single certifications on Wednesday (February 28), including fresh nods for his two highest RIAA-selling songs: “Love the Way You Lie,” which went 12x platinum, and “Lose Yourself,” which went 10x platinum (aka diamond certified).

Em’s recent additions mean he is by the far the RIAA’s highest selling rapper of all time, with Drake (55 million), Kanye West (51.5 million) and Lil Wayne (32 million) far behind.
Despite his success with singles, he still has a long way to go to be #1 on the album sales category. His 44 million units are way back from The Beatles, who hold the top spot with 178 million certified units. He’s still the top rapper on the list, but remains behind the likes of Kenny G (48 million), Elton John (78 million) and Elvis Presley (136 million).
After news of Eminem’s latest sales achievements began circulating online, long-time friend 50 Cent took to Instagram to congratulate the Detroit rap God.
