Since Cardi B released her new single “Bartier Cardi” featuring 21 Savage on Friday (December 22), the song has garnered over 2.7 million plays on YouTube in just over 24 hours. But not everyone was feeling Cardi’s official follow-up to the history-making “Bodak Yellow.”
Countless people took to Twitter to complain about the multiple mentions of Offset, who is Cardi’s fiancé and a member of the platinum-selling Atlanta trio Migos.
On Friday night, the Bronx native snapped on her Instagram Story and explained her excessive use of the word “Offset,” which she shared on Twitter.
“If i wanna put my man name on all my songs soooooooooooooooo Fuuuuuuckkiiiiiinnnng what!!,” she wrote. “I looooooveeee the Nikka. Im his biggest fan. Like the nikka put a half milli ring on my finger and that good Vitamin D. imma mention his name even in my prayers bitch! Shit when I’m about to die last word out my mouth is OFFSET.”

Early Saturday morning (December 23), Cardi’s tone changed drastically and she admitted she was feeling “emotional.” However, she did end things on a positive note, claiming her supporters give her “strength like VitaminD.”
“I’m emotional today guys,” she wrote. “It’s a weird feeling of happy and sad but I’m not sad. Im just real grateful that you guys been supporting my new record. Its a good feeling after people constantly discourage you .You guys giving me strength like VitaminD.”
