A fan of Eminem claims she was rewarded with a phone call from the Detroit rap king for being the first person to correctly decipher the title of Eminem’s upcoming ninth studio album — Revival.
On Saturday (November 11), Tara Monterosso took to Twitter to explain how it happened.
“Figuring this out with @jigsaw_jo paid off, today we got a phone call from Marshall Mathers himself,” Monterosso wrote. “I was nervous AF & I’m sure sounded like an idiot, but that was an awesome reward for realizing Revival was his new album before anyone else. Can’t wait to hear it all.”
Monterosso eventually shared more details about the brief conversation with Em on Twitter on Saturday (November 18). Slim Shady supposedly asked how she deciphered the album’s title and mentioned the Ask About Revival campaign.

“It was a quick convo,” she wrote. “He said Hey Tara, this is Marshall. I swore at him and he said, not holy shit, it’s Marshall. Then he asked how we figured it out, what tipped us off. I told him and then he said congrats or great job. It was a blur.
“He talked a little more about askaboutrevival campaign and then we said goodbye,” she continued. “I didn’t want to ask too many questions and overstep. It was quick but crazy!”
Following a spoof ad for a drug called Revival that aired on Saturday Night Live last month,Monterosso shared her discovery on Twitter.
A subtle reveal of the Revival album title came on October 25 in an Instagram post from Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg.
