Portland Trail Blazer Damian Lillard has delivered his latest project, Confirmed, under his Dame D.O.L.L.A. rap moniker. With features from Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, BJ The Chicago Kid and Nick Grant, he’s enlisted his own all-star team for the album.

Consisting of 13 new tracks, Confirmed is intended to solidify his place in the rap world.

In a recent Instagram post, the 6’2″ point guard explained, “I’ve never had issues with stardom. I’m also not new to music. I’ve always created music while playing at every level of basketball. But now this is no longer an experiment. This is my second album. I’m putting out respectable music yearly. I’ve invested in that. I’m settled in. I don’t feel the need to answer questions or address concerns. This is who I am and what I do.”

Damian Lillard, the Portland Trail Blazer who moonlights under the Dame D.O.L.L.A. rap moniker, is preparing to release his new album, Confirmed, on Friday (October 6).

The 6’3″ point guard took to Instagram to announce the news on Monday night (October 2) and revealed the upcoming project features contributions from artists like Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Nick Grant and BJ The Chicago Kid.

“Why did I name the album CONFIRMED? One of the definitions of confirmed is ‘fixed in habit and unlikely to change,'” Lillard wrote. “I named the album that because there’s always been something said about me spending time in the studio, even though I’ve always shown up and produced for my team every night.”

He continued, “I’ve never had issues with stardom.

Confirmed serves as the follow-up to Lillard’s 2016 debut, The Letter O, which represents his jersey number and the three places that are most important to him — Oakland, California, Ogden, Utah (where he attended Weber State University) and Oregon.

Lillard teased the collaboration with Weezy on Instagram last month, shortly after Wayne was hospitalized for seizures. The Young Money rapper was also featured on The Letter O, despite a close call with his label.
