The cast of the Girls Trip was in attendance for this past weekend’s Essence Fest in New Orleans, Louisiana to promote their new film. Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish, Larenz Tate, Kofi Siriboe and filmmakers Will Packer and Malcolm D. Lee were all on hand for the festivities.
The promotional tie-in was appropriate since the plot of Girls Trip involves Essence Fest. The movie tells the story of four lifelong friends – played by Latifah, Smith, Hall and Haddish – who travel to New Orleans for the annual festival. The women experience some wild adventures in the Big Easy in this romantic comedy from the director of Roll Bounce and Barbershop: The Next Cut.
