Nicki Minaj’s streak is finally over. After winning Best Female Hip Hop Artist at the BET Awards for the past seven years in a row, her nemesis Remy Ma took home the trophy this year in the same category on Sunday (June 25). The Terror Squad affiliate also beat out Cardi B, Missy Elliott and Young M.A.
During her speech she quoted some lyrics from the song “Spaghetti,” which seemed to be yet another diss aimed at the self-proclaimed Black Barbie. “Y’all bitches got fat while we starved / Shots in your ass, pads in your bras / Y’all some liars it ain’t no facts in your songs / And yeah that crown is coming back to the Bronx,” she said.
Minaj and Remy have been dissing each other on an ongoing basis since Remy’s seething diss track “SHEther” hit the internet earlier this year, which she followed up with “Another One.”
While Minaj threw a few shots at Remy on “No Frauds” featuring Lil Wayne and Drake, many people believe Remy bodied her rival, and now she presumably has some more bragging rights to hold over her head.
