Cleveland, Ohio’s “rap mayor” has given the ideal bonus package to fans of his 2016 Gold Packs mixtape.
On top of his newly released Lyrics Playlist mixtape (named after his two-year-old daughter), the Midwest vet has put together a mini-movie in the form of Gold Packs, which he wrote and produced alongside the directorial vision of Khil Datta.
The fairly NSFW movie showcases the various pitfalls inside Cleveland’s concrete labyrinth and stars Ripp Flamez, Doe Boy and Pooh Gutta (among others), as well as highlighted cuts from Lyrics Playlist. The film is said not to glorify the street life but to hone in on making the right choices so tomorrow can be somewhat promised.

More than just an entertainer for his city, Ray Jr. recently made philanthropic waves when he blessed 11 women with a head-to-toe makeover inside Cleveland’s Hair Melodies Beauty Salon and Conscious Consulting. The uplifting effort was a partnership between himself and Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center in Cleveland, Ohio.
