Young Thug is the first man to create an anthem for Blac Youngsta’s freedom. Just one day after Youngsta was arrested on six counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property and felony conspiracy, Thugger has dropped a new track titled “Free Blac Youngsta.”

The Wheezy and DY-produced song was released through the official SoundCloud account for Thug’s label, YSL Records, after he posted a preview on Instagram with the caption “#FREEBLACKYOUNGSTA 5:55.” Thugger also provided a brief update on his Easy Breezy Beautiful Thugger Girls (E.B.B.T.G.) album, noting that he was making the “finishing touches” on it.

Youngsta, whose real name is Sammie Benson, was apprehended by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police on Tuesday (May 16) in connection with the February 25 shooting involving Young Dolph. During the weekend of the annual CIAA basketball tournament, 100 shots were fired at Dolph’s SUV. Luckily, he came away from the situation unharmed.

Frederick Black, 23, and Antavius Gardner, 20, were also arrested and face the same charges as Youngsta. All three men surrendered to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The Illuminati rapper has maintained his innocence, telling Fox13 cameras that he had nothing to do with the shooting.

“I ain’t fire nothing,” he said. “I didn’t see nothing. I didn’t do nothing.”

Youngsta is signed to Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group, formerly known as Cocaine Muzik Group. Gotti and Dolph have been involved in a contentious feud, though the latter dismissed their beef in March.
