Blac Youngsta (real name Sammie Benson) was arrested in Charlotte, North Carolina on weapon charges Tuesday (May 16) and detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department released the details surrounding the arrest late Tuesday night.
They confirmed the Memphis rapper’s situation was indeed tied to the infamous “100 Shot” shooting involving Young Dolph that went down in Charlotte in February. In a video posted by Fox13, however, Benson claims his hands are clean. Reporters caught up to Benson and his attorney as he turned himself in to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s office.
“I ain’t fire nothing,” Benson said. “I didn’t see nothing. I didn’t do nothing.”
Police found the van that was used in the shooting and it turns out the vehicle was rented under Benson’s name, but his lawyer says it was stolen.

Two other men who were wanted in connection with the shooting, 23-year-old Frederick Black and 20-year-old Antavius Gardner, also turned themselves in. All three have been charged with six counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property and felony conspiracy. They are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday (May 17).
As Benson opened the doors to the Sheriff’s office, he turned around and proclaimed, “I’m innocent!”
