No doubt, Trae Tha Truth remains one of the most respected rappers to come out of Houston. His annual Trae Day celebration has become a staple in the city, offering everything from school supply giveaways to free HIV/AIDS screenings.
Now it looks like the upcoming third entry for Tha Truth series will find him getting support from the nation’s biggest fast food chain.
Though the details on the partnership are scant, Trae did shout out popular Houston publicist Nancy Byron who has worked with everyone from Trae to Paul Wall. In an exclusive comment to DX, Byron spoke about the opportunity.
“A dear friend who works in the record industry passed this huge promotional opportunity to me since I live in Houston,” Byron said. “I couldn’t think of a better candidate than Trae because of all he’s meant to H-town music but also because of his years of humanitarian efforts. Thankfully, McDonald’s agreed.”

Trae provided a statement on the news as well.
“It’s truly a blessing to be able to be recognized by a giant company like McDonald’s for my community work and to team up on music also,” he said. “I think this challenge will be fun and interesting … stay tuned.”
Trae’s Grand Hustle boss T.I. also celebrated the news with a congratulatory tweet.
