During a nearly 30-minute Instagram live session Tuesday (March 28), Cam’ron spoke on his former Children of The Corn brethren Ma$e who he claims became a pastor due to the pressures of having a fortune and fear.
“Can’t even get mad at Ma$e. You know why?” asked Cam. “Let me tell you something. I used to be mad at Ma$e because I was younger than Ma$e. But, I know niggas 28, 29, 30 that can’t handle having $10 million. That nigga Ma$e was 22 years old with $10 million, my nigga. He went triple-platinum when he was 21 years old, my nigga, that’s a lot to handle.”
However, Cam said Ma$e took things too far when he decided to become an evangelical leader to run away from the pressures of the world.
“That’s what Ma$e did. Ma$e went worldwide. Ma$e said you know what, I’m just gonna say I’m in church. Ma$e took it too far, though. Starting preaching and all that shit. I see what he was doing with that shit. He was like you know what niggas aint gonna motherfucking harass me if I’m in church. That’s what Ma$e did. They can’t beef with me, they can’t ask me for nothing. I’ma throw on the Rev Run collar, and get the fuck out of here,” said Cam.

The Dipset leader’s claims regarding Ma$e echo similar sentiments shared by Lord Jamar during a 2014 interview with Vlad TV.
Leaving the music industry in 1999, Ma$e became a preacher for El Elyon International Church where he spent time between Phoenix and Atlanta. He made a return to music around 2004 for the gold-selling Welcome Back, which featured him in a cleaner image. At one point, he even was rumored to be signing to G-Unit or G.O.O.D. Music.
According to TMZ his return to rap came after he fell out of favor with El Elyon members following a divorce from his then-wife Twyla Betha in 2014.
