Friday (March 17) has finally arrived and not only is it St. Patrick’s Day, but it’s also the late Sean Price’s birthday, who would have turned 45 had he not tragically lost his life in 2015. In his honor, we’ve placed his posthumous track, “Definition Of God,” in the DX Digest’s top slot while Rick Ross’ new video for “Trap Trap Trap” featuring Wale and Young Thug follows in the second slot. Next up, Disney and Migos both get parodied with “Belle & Boujee,” Ross disses Birdman in “Idols Become Rivals” and GoldLink is feeling some survivor’s guilt with “Pray Everyday.” Music from CyHi The Prynce, Project Pat and Ali Kulture, 2Eleven, Banish and Big Twins, Mpulse, and Rell Jerv also make the cut.

sean price  – “Definition of God”

Although Sean Price has left the earth too soon, his spirit is still being kept alive by his fam at Duck Down Records. The team just shared a new posthumous release, “Definition Of God,” which happens to fall on what would have been Price’s 45th birthday. Produced by Stu Bangas, it’s a harsh reminder of the talent we lost, but thankfully he is immortalized with his music. This track will appear on his first posthumous album Imperius Rex and follows the last offering, “Rap Professor.”

rick ross f. young thug & Wale  – “trap trap trap”

Rick Ross is presumably on top of the world right now. After hosting the MTV Woodie Awards Thursday night (March 16), his new album, Rather You Than Me, made its debut early Friday (March 17). To celebrate his accomplishments, Rozay has unveiled the video for “Trap Trap Trap” featuring Wale and Young Thug. Directed by Ryan Snyder, the video’s cinematic approach makes trapping look easy.

Rick ross  – “idols become rivals”

Rick Ross made good on his promise and delivered his ninth studio album, Rather You Than Me, early Friday (March 17). The one track garnering the most attention, of course, is the Birdman diss track, “Idols Become Rivals.” Beginning with a rant from comedian Chris Rock, Ross spits lines like, “I used to see you niggas on my TV screen/And wondered what was life like, was it all a dream?/And then I met you out on LiveNation dates/Came to the realization that your watch was fake.”

rell jerv – “either way”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi2II5gop9c

Produced by BankRollGotIt, Rell Jerv’s “Either Way” was inspired by the facade people create within the music industry. The video creates a concept of a young man getting caught up in living beyond his means to impress people. Upon closer observation, however, the man is sinking and loses everything all at once.
