The Hump Day (March 8) version of the DX Digest has arrived with a slew of new material from artists like Young M.A, Project Pat, THEY., and D.R.A.M. However, sitting in the top slot is the 24-year-old Brooklyn MC Young M.A, who gets straight to the point with “Hot Sauce,” the first single from her debut album, HerStory Part 1. Trailing a few steps behind is Project Pat’s ridiculous personal training video, which finds the Memphis rap vet trying to whip Big Trill into shape.

Also, take a few moments to go behind-the-scenes with producer Charlie Heat for a look at how D.R.A.M.’s “Cute” was crafted and check out fresh offerings from Murs and Curtiss King, Mista Cain and Boosie Badazz, Tory Lanez, Eric Biddines, Shady Records’ latest artist Westside Gunn, Mikey Polo, and SremmLife Crew’s youngest member Impxct.

young m.a – “hot sauce”

As Brooklyn’s Young M.A makes the transition from mixtapes to proper albums, the 2016 breakout artist has teased the project with the first official single from HerStory Part 1. Titled “Hot Sauce,” the track is produced by Showtyme On The Beat and manages to slide several “ooouuus” in there as she navigates the brooding musical soundscape. Clearly capitalizing off her hit song, “OOOUUU,” the blossoming rap aficionado keeps fans wanting more with her unique style. Her formal debut will follow two EPs titled HerStoryListen above.

project pat & Big Trill – “Personal training”

Project Pat truly cares about everyone’s health, as demonstrated in his hilarious new personal training video, which puts him in the gym with Big Trill. “Big rappers aren’t in anymore,” he says, before kicking Trill’s butt on the treadmill. “Run, mothafucka, run!” he shouts. Unfortunately for Trill, the Three 6 Mafia co-founder is giving him “50 days to lose 250 fucking lbs.” Poor Trill.

THEY. – “What you want”

After dropping their debut album, Nü Religion: Hyena, the duo known as THEY. have returned with a trippy video for “What You Want.” Directed by Psycho Films and filmed in the hallway of what looks like a hotel, Dante Jones and Drew Love aimed to recreate cartoons of a by-gone era minus the animation. “We wanted to do a video that has a funhouse vibe to it,” Jones said in a press release. “I always loved the old school Hanna-Barbera cartoons from back in the day, and I was glad we were able to recreate those signature doorway scenes with some dope video trick.”

Big baby d.r.a.m. – “the making of ‘cute’ with charlie heat”

Producer Charlie Heat has given an insider’s look at the creation of D.R.A.M.’s “Cute” with a behind-the-scenes video. Simply titled “The Making Of ‘Cute,'” the nearly four-minute video goes through the process of creating the Big Baby D.R.A.M. song. From 808s to organs, there’s much more to the song than it initially appears.

murs f. curtiss king – “lemon juice”

On the heels of his politically-charged video for “GBKW (God Bless Kanye West),” Strange Music Inc. artist and Living Legend Murs is back with another single, “Lemon Juice,” which features fellow MC Curtiss King. The song finds the two going at one another in true battle rap fashion, however, it’s backed by a breezy, uplifting melody.

mista cain f. boosie badazz – “remember when”

Boosie Badazz has jumped on Mista Cain’s “Remember When,” a hard-hitting track all about starting from the bottom. Produced by Tuchstone, the song is oddly hypnotizing with its hi-hat-heavy beat and catchy hook. “Remember When” comes from Cain’s forthcoming debut album, The Verdict, which is expected to arrive on March 17.

eric biddines – “coffee love”

Up NeXt By DX artist Eric Biddines takes romance to a whole other level in the new video for “Coffee Love.” Turning on the charm, Biddines navigates the slow, R&B-tinged offering with ease while the visuals paint a raunchier picture of what’s going through his mind. By the end of the video, it’s clear he’s not really talking about coffee.

With production from highly sought after beatsmith Zaytoven,Mikey Polo’s “Fashion,” is all about people copping the DMV rapper’s style. Since coining the phrase “Emo-Trap,” he continues that style by mixing his “emo” raps over trap style beats.

Impxct (sremmlife crew) – “i don’t want her”

As the youngest member of Sremmlife Crew, Impxct presumably feels like he has a lot to prove. Directed by Marquis Green, the young spitter’s latest video for “I Don’t Want Her” is a strong effort from the burgeoning MC and features the kid swearing he does not want your chick.
