KXng crooked – “cut you loose (Freestyle)”

Beginning with an announcement that he’s working on Good Vs. Evil Part II, KXNG Crooked’s “Cut You Loose (Freestyle)” puts his writing prowess on display and finds the lyrically agile MC revisiting his 2009 Slaughterhouse track of the same name. The track follows his freestyles over J Dilla’s “Life” instrumental, The Weeknd’s “Starboy” and Kanye West’s “Real Friends,” and of course, his politically-charged concept album, Good Vs. Evil.Listen above.

Various artists – “Def Jam’s Direct Deposit Vol. 2 Compliation”

Iggy Azalea finally teased her long-awaited Digital Distortion album on Thursday (March 2) night by officially launching her album campaign with the new single “Can’t Lose” featuring Lil Uzi Vert. The song is part of Def Jam’s Direct Deposit Vol. 2 compilation, and aside from the Aussie rapper’s contribution, it includes songs from Chance The Rapper, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, A$AP Ferg, and more. Listen to snippets of the whole project above (unless, of course, you have Apple Music).

2 chainz f. Gucci Mane, Quavo & The trap choir – “good drank 2.0”

After performing “Good Drank” with Gucci Mane on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, 2 Chainz has updated the track using the singers who backed him during the show. Dubbed The Trap Choir and helmed by Fonzworth Bentley, the talented song birds add a depth of layers akin to something heard from a church gospel choir. The ATL rapper also updated the title and instead named it “Good Drank 2.0” featuring Gucci, Quavo and, of course, The Trap Choir.

J.i.d. f. quentin miller – “m.o.m.”

Dreamville’s latest signee, J.I.D, has returned with a video for the Quentin Miller-assisted single, “M.O.M.,” or “Mind Over Matter,” which originally appeared on Spillage Village’s 11-track Bears Like This Too Much project. Directed by Chad Tennies and Mac Grant, the visuals brings the gritty tale to life as he spits upside down from a plastic-covered bed (hmm). His debut, The Never Story, is coming in the very near future.

As part of Ethika’s RGB Mixtape,Dave East’s “Rubberband” hails as one of the project’s standout tracks. The Harlem rapper tumbles through the track delivering nothing but solid bars over the bass-heavy, bare-bones beat. The compilation album also featured the recently released Meek Mill song, “King.”

Hall n’ nash (westside gunn & Conway) – “Machinegun black”

Hall N’ Nash, the duo comprised of Westside Gunn and Conway, just announced they are the newest signees to Eminem’s Shady Records. To commemorate the occasion, they’ve dropped the new single, “MachineGun Black.” Produced by Just Blaze, the track finds the East Coast rappers firing lyrical bullets.

g Herbo – “for real for real”

Chicago rising star G Herbo is keeping up his momentum with another new single, “For Real For Real,” which follows collaborative tracks like “No Hook” with Dave East and “Mine” featuring “Tink.” Herbo was also a recent guest on Funk Flex’s radio show, where he freestyled over Cam’ron’s “I Really Mean It.” The rapper dropped his Strictly 4 For My Fansmixtape in late November 2016.

Khalid – “American teen”

After teasing the full project for months, El Paso, Texas teen, Khalid, has finally delivered American Teen and released a proper video for the title track. The 80s R&B flavored visual features plenty of typical teen debauchery — skateboarding, drinking, dancing, and partying — what else is there? Cop the album here.
