Remember the story where Rich Homie Quan supposedly punched a bouncer at LIV nightclub then made his escape on a boat? Well, we quickly learned the “made his escape on a boat” part wasn’t true, but the “punching a bouncer” part had some weight as the Atlanta rapper was sued and is now going to pay up for the alleged March 2015 incident.

TMZ reports that Rich Homie has reached a settlement with the bouncer to the tune of $60,000.

The bouncer’s legal team issued a statement for the case.

“That’s one expensive punch and hopefully it’ll send a message — to not just celebrities, but regular people — you can’t go around punching people,” Eric and Josh Hertz said.

The rapper’s lawyer, Ricardo Corona, insists that his client is innocent and did not assault anyone that night. He boiled the $60,000 payoff down to “simply a business decision.”

As for the boat escape, it turned out the rapper really boarded a yacht that was floating near shore in sight of the club.

In regards to music, the Atlantian has been fairly quiet with his last full-length release being 2015’s DTSpacely Made This.
