Lake Jackson, TX

A music video misunderstanding ended with Texas police pulling their guns on some Angleton, Texas rappers earlier this week.

It has been reported by Click2Houston that the cops were called when onlookers witnessed several men dressed in black, wearing face masks and armed with guns.

Rappers Tru and Yung Groovey were trying to shoot a music video near a Lake Jackson credit union while armed with four very real, though unloaded, guns.

Click2Houston reported that the police drew their guns upon arrival, believing that a serious crime was taking place. No weapons were fired, as the police told the rappers “Get on the ground, get the (expletive) on the ground.”

In a separate interview with NewsFix, Tru explained that the scene was only supposed to take 10 seconds, but that they lost a camera and got slowed down trying to find it.

It sounds as though Tru learned his lesson, speaking to the cops through the Click2 interview, he said, “Thank y’all for not shooting me or my bros. Next time we promise we’ll let y’all know if we gon’ do something like that. It was a bad idea with a good reason.”
