Big Sean and Jhene Aiko are cozying up in the booth again as TWENTY88 for a 2017 followup to this year’s self-titled project.

Sean announced the collaborative album on Twitter on Saturday (November 12) and also teased forthcoming solo releases for both himself and Aiko.

Sean’s last studio album was 2015’s Dark Sky Paradise, while Aiko’s last project — her debut album, Souled Out is more than two years old.

The pair, widely believed to be a couple, had previously worked together on a few tracks before the eight-song debut that dropped in April. (They’ve also collaborated on many IG selfies and a Star Wars-themed couples costume this past Halloween, but we’re just going to stick to the music for now).

Asked whether there was a timeframe for TWENTY88’s release yet, Sean responded that there was but kept quiet on the details.

In DX’s 3.9 review of their first project, Scott Glaysher wrote, “Twenty88 is a pleasant surprise from two artists who are the top of their respective games. Their chemistry is unquestionable and the music derived from that unique harmony is constantly improving. Whether this is a complete one-off project or if they continue to make music under this duo moniker remains to be seen but for now, these eight songs will tide over the hopeless romantic in everyone.”

Stay tuned for more details.
