What was a nearly two decade-long beef has come to an end with a mere Instagram post.

In a photo uploaded by Prodigy last week, the Mobb Deep lyricist can be seen posing next to fellow rapper, Tru Life. The two infamously feuded for years over the placement of a verse from Prodigy.

Prodigy left the following caption for the photo, which was initially uploaded by a Tru Life associate:

“Welcome home @therealtrulife positive vibes last night with the homies.”‘

Tru Life, who was released from prison in April, posted a zoomed in version of the same photo and had this to say about his reconciliation with Prodigy:

“art of becoming a man is being able to learn how to reconcile differences ,and I thank God for allowing me and @prodigymobbdeep to grow as men and reach that point. Thank u to @mettaworldpeace37 @tone.mogultree @qbchallace @ruc_mrqb for making it happen.#mobbdeep #trulife #mogultree #positivevibes”

Although the beef between the musicians began when a verse Prodigy gave Tru Life was used on the Any Given Sunday soundtrack, which subsequently blocked Tru from using the verse, the feud quickly took a dark turn.

Following the start of the pair’s feud, Mobb Deep was ambushed while in the studio. The feud between the rappers was so intense it was even featured in the Beef documentary. Beef detailed the feuds between a number of rappers, including KRS One and MC Shan, and 50 Cent and Murder Inc.
