This week’s top 10 singles and videos were dominated by DJ Khaled, Joe Budden and De La Soul. DJ Khaled releases “Nas Album Done,” to much fanfare, Joey drops another diss track on The 6 God and DX’s Editor-In-Chief explores the beef between the late-Tupac Shakur and De La Soul.
DJ Khaled Unleashes New Heat “Nas Album Done”
First, DJ Khaled dropped a snippet of what was thought to be a new track called “Escobar Album Done,” then he released the full version of the song that is appropriately entitled, “Nas Album Done.” The cut comes off the popular DJ’s Major Key project and samples The Fugees’ 1996 classic “Fu-Gee-La” as Nas spits incredibly over the smooth track.
Joe Budden’s Fourth Drake Diss Song “Just Because”
Joe Budden drops his fourth diss track aimed at Drake. “Just Because.” Budden says that he is only critiquing Drake out of love and “sometimes love hurts.” Joey is a Drizzy fan admittedly and considers the tracks friendly competition. The New Jersey native previously expressed how “uninspired” Drake’s VIEWS album was, spurring a back-and-forth between the two.

Tupac & De La Soul Once Had Beef
Editor-In-Chief Justin Hunte explores the forgotten beef between Tupac and De La Soul. Beginning in 1993, the rift involves Treach, Naughty By Nature, “Ego Trippin'” and Pac’s hit single “I Get Around.” Their beef was never resolved before Tupac’s passing, unfortunately.
