Frank Ocean has updated his website boysdontcry.co today (July 2) with a picture of an old-fashion library book-return card, hinting at a July release date for his highly-anticipated album, Boys Don’t Cry.
The card holds many stamped dates on it, one marking today’s date of July 2, through a time period of one year. The July 2 date is followed by other dates, some stamped and crossed out, leading up to a July 2016 stamp.
Frank Ocean led fans to believe this same day last year, that he’d be releasing Boys Don’t Cry 365 days ago. To much disappointment, nothing ever came out.
July 2016 could possibly mean that now is the beginning of Frank Ocean‘s Boys Don’t Cry era, whether it be the release of the album, a single or visual. Anything but nothing.

So far, Frank Ocean fiends have gotten a taste of Ocean’s vocals sporadically, all while wondering where the hell he has been. In 2013, he was found on Beyonce’s self-titled album cut “Superpower.” This year, he has his own track on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo, named after the songwriter himself.
Apparently, Ocean’s been working on Boys Don’t Cry, his sophomore output and follow-up to his critically acclaimed and Grammy Award-winning album Channel Orange.
Things to be expected with the release of Boys Don’t Cry include a song with Lil B, who was spotted with the singer working on new music in 2014 as well as the release of his magazine, carrying the same name as the album.
It was revealed last May that the “Novacane” singer interviewed The Based God for his new magazine. The conversation was shot by renown director Nabil Elderkin.
