Bow Wow calls past relationship with Ciara “a blessing.”
During an interview with Vlad TV, rapper/television personality Bow Wow had nothing but kind words for his ex, Ciara. He revealed that he has the utmost respect for the Atlanta singer, and is extremely proud of the accomplishments she’s had in her career.
In regards to Ciara’s battle with Future over their son, Bow says he hopes that one day time will resolve their issues.
“It was a blessing,” Bow Wow said. “I respect her so much. And I’m so proud of her today…I’m really, really proud of her. Because I was there in the beginning…It’s just an unfortunate situation for both parties really. Being a father myself, I understand how women can get under your skin. They can play this game. And how the system is designed to work in their favor…Within time hopefully they can come to some type of medium to where everything will be everything.”

Prior to speaking on Ciara, Bow Wow recalled being in a “dark place” after he parted ways with Jermaine Dupri. He says he eventually reunited with JD at his Malibu home, but had an emotional breakdown while visiting the So So Def founder.
“I was in a real, dark place,” he said. “I really didn’t want to rap anymore. It wasn’t fun. I really didn’t care about it. And Sony was coming to me like ‘It’s time to work on the next album.’ And I told them, I said ‘Listen, if it’s not with Jermaine, I can’t do it. I quit. I just won’t fuckin’ ever go to the studio ever again in life. I just don’t wanna do it unless he’s a part of it. Y’all have to find a way to make this man a part of my album. He needs to executive produce my album.’ And I got on the phone with him, I called him…I drove out to him and Janet’s house. I drove out there. And I remember just sitting in the living room crying. Just crying to him. I couldn’t even hold it in no more.”
