Last week, Jazz Cartier dropped an interesting video for Hotel Paranoia tracks “Red Alert” and “100 Roses.”
Instead of delivering standard visuals, he linked up with frequent collaborator Jon Riera, production house Mad Ruk (Future and The Weeknd’s “Low Life”) and virtual reality video company Combo Bravo for a 360 music video.
“The goal of the video was to remain entertaining at all times,” Cartier says. “We were all going into it not knowing what was going to come out. I’m pretty content with the way the end product came out.”
The music video comes after Toronto’s most talked about up-and-comer dropped the Hotel Paranoia album in early February. According to Cartier, the album was an extension of Marauding in Paradise which dropped April of last year. “The idea of it was about being subtle,” says Cartier.
