ILOVEMAKONNEN has issued a statement after it was confirmed that he is no longer signed to Drake’s OVO Sound label.

According to XXL, it was a clean break for the “Tuesday” singer and he holds no hard feelings against the Toronto rapper or any of the label’s team. ILOVEMAKONNEN is now signed only to Warner Bros. Records. OVO is an imprint of Warner.

“I cannot thank OVO, 40, Oliver, Future & Mr. Morgan, enough for all that they have done for my career,” the statement says. “No words can express how much I appreciate Drake for being a part of the success of Tuesday. I’m sure the haters will have something negative to say, but all in all my choice to be solely on Warner Bros Records was the right thing for me and for my best interest. Sorry there’s no beef to report, DRINK MORE WATER. ILOVEMAKONNEN”

OVO Sound slimmed down its roster as Billboard announced that ILOVEMAKONNEN is no longer signed to the house that Drake built.

The singer signed to OVO in 2014, the same year that Drake joined him for the hit single “Tuesday.”

ILOVEMAKONNEN released his Drink More Water 6 project last month and I Love Makonnen 2 EP, his last project through OVO Sound, in November.

He is preparing to go on tour with Lil B on what they are calling “Red Dragon Based God.”
