Rapper J-Doe hit the streets of Hollywood recently in HipHopDX’s new show “Is It Your Fault?” to find out of if fans are actually supporting their favorite artists.

The Conglomerate Records‘ signee asks Hip Hop fans who their favorite artists are and then proceeds to ask them questions regarding their admired rappers that one would assume a fan would know.

Guests featured on the show named Ludacris, Jay Z and Lil Wayne as their preferred emcees.

One Ludacris fan from Chicago, wrongly named the Def Jam rapper’s second album as Word of Mouf instead of Back For The First Time and was stumped in all questions regarding his alleged favorite rapper. The fan also failed to name Luda’s last released single before he succumbed to admitting that the reason for the Chicago rapper not being as successful in the way that one would think a supporter should want for their favorite emcee, is his fault.

Elsewhere in the clip, one fan admitted to having Jay Z and Kanye West’s collaborative album, Watch The Throne on his computer but did not actually purchase it, while the second Jay Z fan was the only one to correctly name Hov’s second album as In My Lifetime, Vol. 1.

When asked if it was her fault that Jay Z isn’t as popular as he was in the 90s, she gives her explanation as to why it’s not.

“Jay Z had a run,” she says. “Right now he’s a business man. He’s a family man. He’s doing that thing. He’s on a different wave right now.”
