In a recent Murder Master Music Show interview, MTV Video Music Award-winning director Marty Thomas claims that he has hours of unseen outtakes and behind the scene footage of Eazy-E from the making of “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s.”
He also reveals that he has unseen footage of Tupac, Above the Law and MC Ren among others that cannot be released without Ruthless Records’ permission.
“We are having a tough time,” Thomas says. “Here is all of this treasure that all of us would like to have out there and you could have unseen footage and cut it down to all of the coolest stuff and then see Eazy-E, Above the Law and KMG.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Thomas recalls directing Tupac at Above The Law’s “Call It What U Want” video shoot.

“During the shoot for Above the Law, Tupac asked ‘What’s my attitude? What do you think? Am I hard here?,’ the director says. “I said yeah, just be you. I cannot direct you. Just be yourself. There is no character here this is just real. He goes, ‘Okay.’ He wanted to hear, what’s your vision? What do you want me to do? Nobody wants you to be anyone but Tupac so just be Tupac. Just be yourself. You’re enough. You have great presence. He wanted to pull out this gun. He had this giant huge gun and he kept pulling it out and I asked him if we could do one with out the gun because MTV won’t show the gun and I will end up getting the video back and re-cut it and resend it back to MTV and he said ‘No, I’m going to show the gun. You told me to be myself. Make up your mind.'”
Thomas hopes to be able to release this footage to the public with the permission of Ruthless Records.
