Atlanta, Georgia rapper Waka Flocka Flame turned to Twitter to clarify comments he made about Caitlyn Jenner, during an interview with The Breakfast Club last week.

Waka, who stated that Jenner was “rebuking God” during the interview, sent out tweets explaining that he’s not homophobic and has “nothing against transgender people.”

“So now I’m #Homophobic because I don’t agree with #CatlinJenner Smh…I have nothing against transgender people. I simply feel we need to be careful what our children see as “sensationalized”,” Waka wrote in two separate tweets.

Waka also accused the media of using “bait and click” tactics with their headlines.

The musician further went on to explain that he’s more concerned with what children are being subjected to in the media and on television.

“Children’s brains are a constant development to adulthood. And they pay attention to everything whether we want to accept it or not,” Waka wrote on Twitter.

The rapper concluded his comments by offering an apology, and adding that his choice of words could have been better.

During his interview with The Breakfast Club, Waka revealed that he has nothing against Jenner, but added that the former athlete was “rebuking God” with his decision to become a woman.

“I ain’t saying nothing against Bruce Jenner,” Waka said during his The Breakfast Club interview. “You are who you are when God made you, not who you became after he did. That’s how I just feel. You rebuking God, man. God ain’t put them feelings in you, man. That’s the Devil playing tricks on your mind. That’s a test from God. If you can’t outbeat that one task and you believe that, then you can believe everything else and you going down that way.”
