MTV announced the nominations for the 2015 Video Music Awards today (July 21) and Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” is among those nominated for the Video of the Year Award.
The Colin Tilley-directed “Alright” visual is also nominated for Best Male Video, Best Hip Hop Video and Best Direction.
Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” cinematic visual featuring the Compton, California rapper and Welvin Da Great is also nominated for the Video of the Year accolade.
Other nominations for the Video of the Year Award include Beyonce’s “7/11,” Ed Shereen’s “Thinking Outloud” and Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.”

The 2015 MTV Video Music Awards is set to air August 30 at 9pm EST and is scheduled to be hosted by Miley Cyrus.
