This week saw an ongoing spat between Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran rekindled online as Brown lashed out at his ex for speaking about their relationship on camera. Elsewhere online, Meek Mill Tweeted some unsolicited advice to YG shortly after the Compton rapper was shot three times while at the studio. Finally, Lil Wayne announced a major move away from Cash Money at a concert this past week that will closely align him with Jay Z.

Chris Brown & Karrueche Tran Argue Online

Chris Brown and his ex-girlfriend,Karrueche Tran exchanged words via social media over the weekend.

The back-and-forth between the two began when Brown criticized his ex after she was asked about the musician, during an interview with “Access Hollywood.”

“Honestly, it’s so fucking pointless to keep doing interviews about me. Talk about your career…If there is no more relationship then u shouldn’t be doing fucking interviews with people,” Brown wrote in a comment to a clip of Tran’s interview, which was posted on The Shade Room’s Instagram page.

Meek Mill To YG After Shooting: “Smarten Up”

Meek Mill sent a tweet to YG after the Compton, California rapper was shot in the Studio City section of Los Angeles Friday (June 12).

“@YG lets smarten up We know what come with it! Let’s get this money!” Meek Mil lwrote on Twitter, according to VladTV, which posted a screen shot of the tweet, which has since been removed.

The site says that Meek Mill sent another tweet soon thereafter, which is still on the Philadelphia rapper’s timeline. 

“You can’t b loyal to a wall….,” Meek Mill’s tweet says. “B loyal to what’s loyal to you….friends or family if you can’t give me that in return I don’t need you!”

Lil Waynce Announces Jay Z Deal, Calls Jigga His Idol

During his performance at KMEL Summer Jam on June 13) Lil Wayne mentioned a business venture. 

“I just signed a deal with my muthafuckin’ idol Jay Z,” Lil Wayne said while on stage, per an Instagram post from hellabootsy.

In the clip, the New Orleans rapper did not specify what the deal was, though he had already announced that he had become a member of the ownership team of the Jay Z-fronted streaming service TIDAL.
