Big Sean has engaged on a massive press run to promote his latest album Dark Sky Paradise.
The Detroit-bred rapper recently stopped by Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show, where he sat on a panel with Martin Short (comedian), Frank Rich (New York Magazine) and Tara Setmayer (CNN).
The host, Larry Wilmore, mediated the discussion.
Instead of answering Rap-related questions, Sean – and the rest of the panel – analyzed former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s recent comments that President Obama doesn’t love America.

Sean likened the feud to a “rap beef” and said “I just feel like political beef is a little more violent.”
When asked what does love of country mean to him, Sean responded: “I just feel like, when you appreciate where you’re from and you give back any way you can.”
“Since Obama has been President, I’ve seen the effect of it directly [in Detroit]. My people have been getting way more jobs, the city is rebuilding” he said. “It was at one point, where they didn’t have jobs. Now the city is thriving.”
