Multi-platinum singer R. Kelly premiered the second chapter of his five part series “Trapped in the Closet” yesterday on Chicago radio station 107.5 WGCI. The song received mixed reviews from listeners.

The second chapter finds Kelly face to face with an adulterous wife and an angry husband. In a strange turn of events, a la Jerry Springer, the husband reveals that he has a confession of his own. The ensuing conversation finds the listener in the middle of a love triangle involving a pastor who appears to be cheating with another man.

The revelation was greeted by outrage from the church community, including several pastors in the Chicago area, who felt that the singer, who is famous for songs about sexual escapades, had gone too far.

Several listeners came to The Pied Piper’s aide via message board courtesy of The Diz, one half of WGCI’s evening show team, The Bad Boys.

One blogger, typing under the alias “trooth-b-told”, stated “For ALL YOU PREACHERS don’t get mad because that brother exposed you all. Because I didn’t hear any calls from any preachers when they were calling him a child molester. See the difference between you all and [R. Kelly] is, he is not calling himself a man of God and saying ‘follow me so that I can rape your sons’.” The blog can be found at http://www.thedizchicago.blogspot.com/.

The entire 5-part saga can be found on Kelly’s upcoming album, TP-3: Reloaded which hits shelves July 5th. There are also plans to shoot a mini movie based on “Trapped in the Closet”.
