Kendrick Lamar, who is reportedly working on the follow-up to his 2012 major label debut album,good kid, m.A.A.d city, recently said there are several unreleased songs from the album’s recording sessions.

“There was a lot left out of good kid,” Lamar says in Rolling Stone, according to Rap-Up. “It could have been a 30-track album. There are a few new [songs] that can tie in with what I was talking about.”

Lamar, who says he’s made several songs with Dr. Dre for his new album, also adds that the producer has “gone in the lab and tried to really elevate himself.” Lamar’s work with Dr. Dre is accompanied by K. Dot’s efforts with other producers, TDE’s Digi+Phonics.

Lamar, who had Drake on good kid, says he is not going to have many features on this project.

“I have so much to say,” he says. “It’s almost selfish of me.”
