Kendrick Lamar, who is reportedly working on a follow-up to his debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, has worked on several songs with Flying Lotus, according to FlyLo.
“We’ve been working on stuff together,” Flying Lotus says in an interview with Pitchfork. “I went on tour and he recorded to a bunch of my songs. I don’t know if he’s gonna use them or not, but he recorded a bunch of stuff, which is why there’s no Captain Murphy album out yet. He took all my beats.”
Kendrick Lamar and Flying Lotus toured together on the Yeezus tour run with Kanye West.
In October 2013, FlyLo announced this with the following Twitter post.

Kendrick Lamar’s new album is believed to be set for a 2014 release. The emcee has said he feels no pressure going into this sophomore album following the success of his debut effort, good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
Lamar has also said he is not focused on good kid while making his new project.
“I really can’t focus on the past and what was said then,” he said earlier this year. “You’re only as good as your last piece of work, so now it’s about what’s right now and me putting that same 110 percent that I did with the last one.”
