At the second of several planned Dave Chappelle shows at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Kanye West made an unannounced appearance onstage last night (June 20). Performing “New Slaves,” “Gold Digger,” and “Jesus Walks,” West joined the comedian in his return to public life and stand-up.
According to Complex, the Yeezus rapper took to the crowd with mic in hand halfway through his performance of “Gold Digger.”
Dave Chappelle’s currently running string of Radio City Music Hall shows is also set to include performances from The Roots, Janelle Monae, Busta Rhymes, Erykah Badu, and DJ Premier. The comedian’s stand-up and music infused show comes nearly ten years after his documentary of a similar format Dave Chappelle’s Block Party in 2005.
Chappelle confirmed in May that a ninth date for his Radio City Music Hall performances has been added for June 23 and will feature a performance from Nas.

The comedian has returned from an extended hiatus with a series of TV appearances including an interview on the Late Show With David Letterman. According to CNN, Chappelle joked that his current show schedule will allow him to “disappear again” during a bit on Wednesday (June 18).
“I’m just here to make enlightened money so I can disappear again,” he said.
